Hello, this summer I was in Scotland exploring different lcations from the Harry Potter movies. Scotland is so beautiful piece of land and all my dreams of visiting the filming locations came true! I was so glad to the world that I had the chance to see this beauty with my own eyes. Road trips are the best and when my favourite movie locations are included, the magic is full in my heart.
The spectacular waterfall known variously as An Steall Bàn, Steall Waterfall or Steall Falls is situated in Glen Nevis near Fort William, Highland, Scotland. It is Scotland’s second-highest waterfall, and also the second highest in the United Kingdom, with a single drop of 120 metres. The cascading waterfall of Steall Falls is featured in the film Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire, when Harry faces down a Hungarian Horntail dragon in the Triwizard Tournament. Also, the waterfall is a background in one of the Quidich matches with Ron in the Harry Potter and the half blood prince movie – https://youtu.be/4VJuTuI6eSw This is Lochaber. It was the primary location for the outdoor shots in Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban. During production, crews built the set for Hagrid’s Hut here- which appeared in Prisoner of Azkaban. The Hut was sadly demolished soon after. Tourists can still visit the location though to take in the fantastic scenery, overlooking the Torren Lochan.Eilean na Moine and Loch Eilt are the beautiful locations that are home to some of the films saddest moments. The site is the final resting place of a much-loved Dumbledore as well as the place where Harry discovered that BuckBeck – a hippogruff – was to be put down. In the Deathly Hallows part one, this stunning location also became the backdrop for the shocking moment when Voldemort stole the Elder Wand.
